Love Salt Water

I've been visiting around Massachusetts with long time friends after spending quite a bit of time in Maine. The ocean here is very different from the ocean in Myrtle Beach. I love them both. The south has water that is really easy to swim in, both because it is warm and because the beaches are perfect sand with hardly a pebble or shell to interfere with walking or lying in the sand. In the north the ocean has a distinct smell. I can remember when I lived away from the shore that we would all smell the salt water as we went through a town abouy 10 miles from the ocean. Iy is a very subtle but appealing smell that immediately brings up that feeling of being at the beach. You don't smell the ocean like that in the south. I miss that when I'm down in Myrtle Beach. I went out fishing with a friend the other day and I caught a number of striped bass, the biggest was 30 inches. I watch the people fish in Myrtle Beach and my friend Dave and I would look at those fish that make the people so happy and say "Bait!!" Up north we would use 10 inch herring as swim bait to catch the big stripes bass in the late spring. It doesn't really matter though north or south. I'm just so glad that God gave me the ocean. I love the ocean. I love salt water.
